Payir and surrounding villages suffer from acute water shortage and drought due to failed rainfall, large scale trees cutting, wrong agricultural practices, large scale exploitation and poor maintenance of water bodies.

Payir is undertaking revival of 300 kms of waterways and 800 acres of water bodies thereby reviving 20,000 acres in 4 Phases. This involves clearing julifora bushes, desilt the lakes and water ways, plant trees, promote natural farming, and other activities.

This has resulted in ending drought after 17 years in 4 villages, for 5000+ families, 25000+ people! 2500+ Farmers started agriculture covering 2500+ acres of Farmlands!

Extending our commitment to conserve every drop of rain and recharge groundwater, we are setting onto our Phase III to desilt 20 kms of catchment waterways and restore 100 acres of waterbodies and plant 1000 more trees extending the benefit to another 10,000+ people.
