Mathru Educational Trust for the Blind & Other Disabled

Mathru Educational Trust for the blind & Other Disabled is a non- governmental organization providing education, rehabilitation and empowerment of children with various disabilities like blind, hearing impaired, autism, mental retarded, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, deafblind etc. The Trust runs Mathru early intervention centre, Mathu learning center, Mathru vocational training center, Mathru centre for deafblind and multisensory disabled children and a residential school for hearing impaired. Each center is registered duly under concerned department and runs in its own building with excellent infrastructure. Mathru serves 206 children with various disabilities under its 5 projects. In addition to academics and prevocational and vocational skills, Mathru is provides services like speech, communication therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy , fine arts, sports, medical assistance, nutritive supplements, at no cost. There are 57 teaching and non-teaching staff.
